This beautiful old Christmas plate was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma in 1965. In 1965 the Frankoma Potteries produced the first of the annual Christmas plates. It is called "Good Will Towards Men” and represents the birth of Jesus with Mary and Joseph and the baby below the star of Bethlehem. On the back it is marked FRANKOMA with a copyright mark- FP – 1965. It also has the John Frank signature and the words; first issue. There are two holes on the back side for putting a cord or wire to hang it on the wall. This white glaze was apparently called Della Robia White.
It measures about 8 ¼” in diameter and is in very good condition showing almost no wear.
