This is an old bottle for Sanford’s Household and Typewriter Oil. The blue glass bottle has ridges down the sides and on the front is a paper label showing it was manufactured by the Sanford Ink Co. of Chicago & New York. It has its original black plastic lid and on the bottom a design patent dating it to 1938.
The bottle measures about 1 ½” by 2” by 3 1/8” tall. It is in good, undamaged condition and still contains some the oil. The label has worn and torn edges and minor soiling. The box measures about 2 3/8” high and 1 3/16” in diameter. Its lid is split as can be seen in the photos.
