This colorful, old porcelain flask is one of the favorites made by the Schafer and Vater company of Germany in the early 1900's. The colors and comical subject are typical of their whimsey. The chubby Scotsman has rosy cheeks and slightly bowed legs. The top of the bagpipe is the original corked stopper that can be removed to fill or empty the flask. The S & V crown mark is not visible but there does appear to be a 4 digit number stamped on the bottom. These were made in several sizes, this being the smaller one.
It measures about 5 1/4" tall and is in very nice condition with minimal wear and no damage.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
