This old display box has a slightly domed, angular lid that is covered with paper leatherette. Inside is a black velvet insert that is molded to hold an old wristwatch. By the shape I would say the face was probably a slender and slightly elongated like some of the platinum and white gold watches of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Impressed into the fabric and enhanced with gold is the name Westfield. There’s a fabric insert in the hinged lid that reads: Westfield Shock-Proof – Made by Westfield Watch Company.
It measures about 7 ¼” by 1 5/8” by 1” high to the ridge when closed. It is in good condition with light wear. There is a little discoloration on the lid. It has a tight hinge. The inside fabric has minor wear although much of the gold on the name is worn.
