This miniature toy gun is called Pluck and it was manufactured by the J.E. Stevens Co. of Connecticut. It is a single shot cap gun made of cast iron with the Pluck name cast on one side. Faintly marked on the other side is Made in USA on three lines. Later versions had the deeply cast Made in the U.S.A. on one line. Both sides of the grip have the look of being checkered. The hammer cocks back and the trigger releases it as it should. It measures about 3 ½” in length and the end of the barrel measures about 5/16” outer diameter. It is in very nice condition with good patina and minimal rust.
It comes with a little leather, open holster with a strap for attaching it to a belt. The leather on the face of the holster is finished and the backside is rough. The strap has a silver colored buckle. The holster, excluding the strap measures about 4 1/8” long and as shown including the strap it measures about 6” long. It is in fairly nice original condition however one of the strap slots at the top is torn as shown in the photo.
