This is an old six foot steel tape measure in a metal housing from the 1930's. One side reads; Wards - Master Quality - Direct Reading - 6 FT. while on the back it reads; Made in U.S.A. along with a series of patent numbers the last one dating this to 1934. This can be used for inside measurements by reading inside the housing opening. The top edge is marked off in 32nds and the bottom in 16ths. The tape is pulled out and pushed in manually.
The tape is in nice condition with only a few dark areas of discoloration. There is a small kink on the top edge between the 6" and 7" marks. The nickel finish on the case is also in good condition with minimal wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
