This is an old hand held razor blade stropper for sharpening either wedge shaped razor blades or double edged blades like Gillette. It has a hinged adapter that can be used to make the double edged blade fit into the slot where a wedge blade would go. A leather strop gets laced over the two bars. As you hold the handle and move it back and forth, it cause the blade to flip back and forth over the strop to hone both sides. The only markings are D.R.G.M. which indicate it was made in Germany. The handle is painted wood.
It measures about 5 ¼” long and it would take a strop that was about 1 5/8” wide. It is in very good condition with minor wear to the paint and the plating on the metal is in very nice condition.
