These old puzzles were made under the Playskool name and copyrighted by Golden Press, Inc. One puzzle has children playing at a playground. They’re having fun on the swings, teeter-totter, slide and in the sandbox. The other puzzle is a day at the beach. Mom lounges on the beach while children play in the sand and in the ocean. In the background there are food concessions like the clam bar and frozen custard stand as well as a carousel with horses. Life is good! The puzzles are numbered; 80-12B and 80-12D respectively. The large puzzle pieces fit snuggly in the cardboard tray and an outline of each piece is impressed on the back portion of the tray. Written on the back of each puzzle is a notation of who gave them as a Christmas gift and to whom they were given. believe these are probably from the 1950’s.
They measure about 8” by 10” and both are complete and in very nice condition with minor edge wear. The beach scene has some minor water stains along the left side.
Priced and sold as the pair.
