This old box was for a Parker Jack-Knife Safety Fountain Pen. The lid of the box has both a man and a young woman owning a fountain pen and it states; Can be carried in a lower vest pocket – Especially adapted for ladies use. The back of the box has a sectional view of the fountain pen with the cap on and the sides of the box have a summation of the basic use of the pen. Inside the lid are specification for selling Parker pens. The box also comes with a folded sheet of paper. One side has the directions for using the Parker Jack Knife. The back side of the paper has illustrations of the different Jack Knife models that were available ranging from the $2.50 Baby size to the $5.00 and $6.00 sterling and rolled gold mounting models. I don’t find a date anywhere but I believe it is from the early 1900’s. This is the box and instruction sheet only without any pen.
The box measures about 6 ¼” by 1 3/16” by 11/16” and it is in very nice condition with minor edge and corner wear. The paper measures about 6” by 8 7/8” and it is in very good condition with minimal wear other than the original creases.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
