This unusual old letteropener is advertising The Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Company. The letteropener portion is made of steel and is also a 6" rule marked in 1/8" increments. Peened to the top is a nicely detailed brass casting of the Yellow Page logo with the page holding open a phone book that reads; "Where To Buy It". I believe this is from the 1920's - 1940's period.
Overall it measures about 8 1/4" long with the brass portion measuring about 2 5/8" long and 1/8" thick. It's in very nice condition with minimal wear.
