This old tin once held a product called Red Devil Soot Remover. The Triple X liquid was used to clean furnaces, heaters and stoves. The front of the tin has the colorful graphics with the Red Devil logo in the center. The back of the tin has product’s claims, and directions. It was manufactured by the Marine Electrolysis Eliminator Co. of Seattle, Washington and Michigan City, Indiana. The empty tin has its original screw lid. I believe this is from the 1950’s or earlier.
The tin measures about 5 7/8” high with the lid portion above that by 3 7/8” wide and 1 ¾” deep. It is nice condition with good gloss and minimal scratch and dent wear. The top and bottom have some minor discoloration.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
