This is an old figural perfume bottle in the shape of a clown like the one called Pierrot. The head and ruffled collar hold the glass dauber that goes inside the clown body. The clown costume consists of a white and baggy outfit with large black buttons, black pocket slits and black shoes. The small head of the clown has tiny facial details, black hair and a little yellow hat. The blown glass dauber is inserted into the cork which is attached to the bottom of the collar. The bottom of the bottle is stamped; Made in Japan and I believe this is from the 1930's - 1940's.
It measures about 3 1/8" high and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The paint on the face is a bit crude but it is a manufacturing flaw and not damage. The cork looks a little rough but it fits well.
