This old perfume bottle is an I. W. Rice import made in Czechoslovakia. The pressed glass bowl that holds the cologne has an angular, slightly fanned design that has definite deco influence. The stopper is a tall, somewhat oval shape with a high polish finish. The base of the stopper echoes the fan design of the bottle. The inside neck of the bottle and the end of the stopper are both frosted for a snug fit. Molded into the bottom is Czechoslovakia but all you can make out is the “ZECHOSL”, partly because of the original ,foiled paper, Irice label. The label is worn but I can make out; Irving W. Rice & Co. Inc. N.Y.C..
The base measures about 2 ¾” wide by about 1 1/8” deep. The overall height is about 5” tall. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. There is a little bit of perfume reside in the bottom.
