These old salt and pepper shakers are made of a sharply cut polished glass with a graduating square design and sterling silver, screw-on caps. They have a nice tapered shape and substantial feel to them. The lids have star and circle perforations. One lid has small holes the other has larger holes and each of the lids is marked; Sterling with a WSW hallmark. I believe the hallmark was for the Wilcox Silver company which was one of the original companies that formed the International Silver Co. in 1898. The polished glass bottoms are not marked anywhere that I can see.
They measure about 2 ¾” high and the bases measure about 1 ½” in diameter. They are in very nice condition with snug fitting lids. There are minimal nicks on the edges of the glass. The lids are in good condition with minimal wear and dents.
