This classic looking car is an old battery operated toy Cadillac made in Japan in the early 1950's. It is made of tin and painted two-toned with plated tin trim. It has plastic front and rear windows and inside is lithoed upholstery and dash details. It has rubber tires and all of its original tin hubcaps in a tin "white wall". It has a battery operated, forward and reverse motor and operable headlights. Through the rear window you can read "Japan" which is the only markings I can find. It uses 2 "D" cell batteries.
It measures about 13" long by 6" wide and 4 1/8" high. It is in nice condition with minimal wear. The body and paint are good with nice gloss and minimal play wear. There are a few light dents that don't damage the paint, one on the top and the other on the front hood. The windshield and rear window are intact with no damage and all of the trim plating is good. The plating on the hubcaps is weak and discolored, especially on the front passenger side. The headlights and the motor are in working condition however the switch is weak and the lever has to be held in position (either right or left for forward or reverse) in order to run it. Therefore, you can't turn it on and set it down to watch it run. The bottom of the car show definite wear with scuffs and surface rust wear the paint has come off. The battery box is fairly clean but does have some surface rust also.
