Vintage Masonic Postcard Lodge for Kids - Riding Goat – Mason Never TellsVintage Masonic Postcard Lodge for Kids - Riding Goat – Mason Never TellsVintage Masonic Postcard Lodge for Kids - Riding Goat – Mason Never TellsVintage Masonic Postcard Lodge for Kids - Riding Goat – Mason Never Tells

This old postcard shows the humorous side of the rites and tradition of Freemasonry. A little boy with a large Masonic emblem around his neck is standing on a soap box and a little girl is sitting on the back of a billy goat. Th boy is about to cut loose the rope of the goat symbolizing her initiation into the Masons Lodge for Kids. A notice posted on the fence states; Rule 1 – A Mason Never Tells. Across the bottom of the postcard it reads; I’m going to make her a Mason too so she can’t tell on me. The Freemasonry emblems are on either side of the caption. It looks like the artist for this comical sepia tone image was Ryan. It was published by J.I Austen Co. of Chicago. It has correspondence on the back but no stamp or cancelation. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.

It measures about 3 ½” by 5 ½” and is nice condition with minor edge, corner and crease wear and soiling.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
