This old tin wind-up toy is called Jumping Rabbit with Baby. The gray bunny has a colorful face with large eyes. He also has a lithographed collar and bow tie. His ears are tin with pink inside. On his back is a little pink bunny with a face that resembles the large rabbit. The baby rabbit also has a collar and bow tie but it’s ears are made of pink plastic like a thin vinyl. When wound by the attached key the bunnies move up and down in a hopping motion. The big bunny is marked; Made in Japan. The toy comes with its original box which is very colorful. It has a horse/M log and reads; Mikuni Made in Japan. It has an original price of 79c stamped on the lid of the box. I believe this is from the late 1950's.
The large rabbit measures about 3 ¾” to the top of his ears but the attached baby makes the toy about 4” and overall it’s about 4 ½” nose to tail. It's in very good working condition with minimal wear. The box measures about 4 5/8” by 4” by 2 ¼” high. It is in very nice condition with minor edge and corner wear.
