This old straight razor is in very nice condition and it comes with its original box. The handle is vegetable ivory or celluloid molded into a twisted design. On one side the blade reads; Carbo-Magnetic Reg.U.S.Pat. Of. and the shank portion is marked: 60 “Griffon” XX . The shank on the other side has the griffin logo and the blade is marked W.A. Zietzke & Co. It comes in its original box with the slide off lid. One side reads; Carbo-Magnetic with lightning bolts radiating out around it. The other side has W.A.Zietzke & Co. Bozeman, Mont(ana) with an art nouveau design on the lid potion. The box also has metal ends. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.
The razor measures about 6 ¼” in length closed and 9 ½” long opened. It is in very good condition with minimal wear, no chips or cracks in the metal or the celluloid. The box measures about 6 5/8” by 1 1/8” by 1” and is in nice condition with minor wear. The paper cover has some fading and discoloration.
