This is an old hot water bottle with an embossed angel on one side. The smaller size was intended for an infant or for use on the face. The red rubber bag has its original, screw in plastic plug. It was made by the B.F.Goodrich company of Akron, Ohio. It comes with its original box which show the model to be a No. 1040. Written on the end of the box is the original price of $1.89.
The bottle measures about 9 ¾” long by 4 7/8” wide and appears to be in good condition with minor soiling and scuff wear but no splits in the rubber. That being said, it is a vintage piece and is not guaranteed for use. The box measures about 5 ¼” by 10 ¼” by 1 5/8” and is in fairly nice condition with light crease and edge wear and minor soiling.
