This is a cute pair of old shoes made of light brown and off-white leather. They are a well made pair of shoes with hard soles and a laces that weave around the heel of the shoes and tie in the front. Inside one shoe is a label that reads; Gertrude's Size 1. They come with part of the original Gertrude's shoe box which identifies them as Little Kickers – Infants Tot-Age Shoes – Well Styled, Correctly Fitted. The bottom of the box has a Measuring Chart for choosing the correct size of footwear. Gertrude shoes were manufactured by The Crawford Shoe Company of Illinois. I believe these are from the late 1940’s – 1950’s.
They measure about 4 ¼” long by 2” across the ball of the foot and they are in very good condition with minimal wear. The box is parts and pieces but fun nonetheless.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
