The sweet photo of a young child is the centerpiece for this advertising from the Elyria Garage & Hardware Company of Elyria Nebraska. Toward the bottom is a poem by Reillep which reads; It’s the Song Ye Sing And the Smile Ye Wear, That’s Amaking the Sun Shine Every where. The mat is cut with an oval opening to showcase the baby and it appears that the dark edge around the photo is painted on the cardboard mat. This has its original metal frame with a dark wood grain finish. The frame appears to have its original cardboard back and glass over the print. There is presently no hanger on the back nor any evidence of how it was meant to be hung. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.
The frame measures about 5” by 9” and the picture of the baby measures about 2 7/8” by 4 ¾”. Overall it is in nice condition with minimal wear. The frame has light rub and scratch wear. As previously stated it has no hanging device.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
