This old thimble is made of sterling silver and has a design of alternating panels There are five wide panels each with two faint horizontal lines. There are also five smaller panels that are decorated with circular detailing and the ten panels are separated by narrower, slightly concave panels. Inside it is marked Sterling over a star hallmark. It appears to have a thimble or bell inside the star which is the hallmark for Waite Thresher Co. of Rhode Island circa 1860-1927. There is also the number 10 which I would assume to be the size. There is no indication of size or maker on the outside.
It measures about 7/8” high and about 5/8” in diameter and is in very nice condition with no holes in the stippled area and minimal scratch wear from needle work.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
