This colorful cowboy pin is made with an assortment of wood beads and more. The body, arms and hat are made of beads that are dyed red. The face is a natural bead with painted facial features (he’s a happy cowboy!). The legs are made of a hank of plastic coated cord which is also used for the lasso and for stringing all of the pieces together. There is a brown leather belt and a red felt kerchief for finishing touches. On the back, through a felt loop, is a simple, silver colored safety pin. I believe this is from the 1950’s or 1960’s and possibly made as a souvenir. It would fun worn on a lapel or a winter sweater.
The cowboy measures about 4 5/8” in length by about 3 ½” across the arms and lariat. It is in very good condition with minimal wear.
