This old book Marzipan is an invaluable reference for anyone wanting to have fun with marzipan. The author, Pat Ashby starts with information on buying or making marzipan which is basically an almond and sugar confection. She goes through the equipment and basic techniques of working with marzipan and then the fun begins. There are pages and pages of color photos showing the steps for making critters and characters that can be used on their own or used for decorating cakes. There are 127 pages in the hardbound book full of information and whimsy. It has a 1986 copyright date and was published by Merehurst Press of London.
It measures about 5 ¾” by 11 ¼” by ½” and is in very good condition with minimal wear to the hardbound cover. The pages are basically clean and the spine is tight.
