This old tin was distributed by the Whitehall Pharmacal Co. of New York and once contained 12 - Guards Cold Tablets. Its main ingredient was aspirin and they were good for everything from headache to stomach acidity. The blue and white lid on this tin is hinged. The patent along the back side would date it to about 1944. It still has the original paper pamphlet with directions and advertising for other products by the Whitehall company.
The empty tin measures about 1 13/16" by 1 3/8 " is in good condition with nice gloss and very minimal wear.
