This old needle tin was for Songster - Extra Loud steel needles. The tin has subdued graphics on the hinged on lid with a little bird against a background of alternating bands of yellow and white that look like sun rays. The brand, Songster is written in brown. The tin originally held 200 Extra Loud Tone needles and were manufactured by J. Stead & Co. Ltd. Of Sheffield England. Along the edge of the lid I believe it reads; The Correct Needle for Electrical Records. Inside there is an assortment of steel needles which may or may not be original to the tin.

The tin measures about 1 7/8” by 1 3/8” and is in fair condition with scratch and scuff wear and a dent on the lid. The gold along the sides and edges is weak and discolored and the bottom is particularly scratched.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
