This small dresser box could have been used to hold little pieces of jewelry or even a bit of potpourri. The round box is made of a fancy gold colored metal which is pressed into an ornate design. This metal work is generally referred to as ormolu. A piece of beveled glass is held by a decorative little bezel which acts as the lid which is hinged at the back. Affixed to the glass is the original foiled paper label that reads; Stylebuilt Accessories – New York, N.Y. The base sits on three short decorative legs and inside is a gold velveteen like fabric pad.
It measures about 3 1/8” in diameter excluding the little tab on the front for raising the lid and it measures about 2 3/8” high. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
