This is a very nice old razor even though it looks like an old fountain pen. It was made by the Arnold Fountain Safety Razor Company of Reading, PA. ca 1906 -1911. When closed it looks just like an expensive fountain pen. Remove the lid and the safety razor screws out, reverses direction and screws back in to become a razor. It is made of a bakelite material with a wavy design and a gold colored band. On the outside is the patent date of Oct. 23, 1906. The small metal maroon tin which says; ARNOLD DAMASCUS BLADES, fits into the lid when it isn't being used. There is one extra blade in the tin.
In the closed position this measures about 5 7/8" long and as a razor it measures about 6 5/8" long. It is in very good condition with minimal wear. There is one scratch above the "z" on the front description.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
