This little girl figurine rings in the Christmas spirit with the little clapper housed in her snowball skirt. The snowball and the trim on her hat is textured with little shards of porcelain. She’s wearing pale green mittens and has a winter scarf around her neck. She’s holding two packages and one is decorated with a big gold bow. There are gold stars adorning the snowball and the hat trim is also enhanced with gold. She has a sweet face with an open mouth as though she’s singing a Christmas Carol. Attached to a fine wire that goes through the two holes on her back is a small porcelain clapper. Inside the bell is an original foiled paper label that reads; Semco Japan. I believe she is from the 1950’s and that there were a series of similar bells made during that time.
She measures about 4 5/8” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The tips of several stars are broken off but they appear to be glazed over so it was probably done during manufacturing.
