This old porcelain plate will probably ring true for many a tired housewife. The plate is decorated with an old cook stove and a variety of cooking utensils and implements. In the center is the saying; “Happy Day” - This Kitchen is Closed Due to Illness - I’m Sick of Cooking. The irregular outer edge is trimmed with gold. The back is pierced and there is a piece of wire through the holes so it can be hung on the wall. The wire may not be original. It has part of its original foil label that reads; W.N. Co. Ceramics - Japan. I believe this is from the late 1950’s or 1960’s.
It measures about 7 ¼” in diameter and is in very nice condition with minimal wear and no damage.
