This small light was supposed to be carried in your car in case of trouble under the hood. The little All-Purpose Traveling Light is made of bright red plastic and it has a cord with an adapter to plug into the cigarette lighter. A hook on the top end allowed you to hang this in a convenient place. The plug end is marked; Safco – Pat. Pend. It probably took a specialty bulb like a tail light bulb as it would have been handy in an emergency. This comes with its original box with the Ford logo and I believe this is from the 1950’s or 1960’s.
The light portion excluding the hook measures about 4 ½” long. Since the cord is still in its originally wound state I don’t know how long it is. Overall the lamp and cord are in very good, seemingly unused condition with no damage. The box measures about 3 ¾” by 6 1/8” by 1 5/8” high and it is in fair condition with light scuff, corner and edge wear. There is a stain on the lid that looks like a grease stain.
