This is a small book with pages of individual photos that create an animated motion picture when flipped from front to back. The opening scene shows three chefs or bakers in front of a large pie. The man in the center is attempting to carve the pie with a very large fork and knife. When the pages are quickly flipped the images appear to move and a young the girl appears out of the pie flailing her arms and legs in exaggerated movement. In the final scene she takes a bow! Flip books creating "moving pictures" were a popular past time in the early 1900's for children and adults with risque ones delighting young men like a miniature peep show. This one has a 1984 copyright by the Merrimack Publishing Co. of New York, printed in Hong Kong.
It measures about 2 ¾” by 2 ¼” wide by ¼” thick is in nice but used condition with edge and corner wear. Both the front and back cover have some scaring and the back cover has a spot where the paper is torn.
