This is an old book called A Treasury of Needle Arts - Stitch for Stitch - Thread for Thread. It covers the art of needlework including sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery and lacework. It combines wonderful photos and text on a countless number of stitches and techniques for a large variety of needlework projects. It has 170 pages in a hardbound cover. It has a 1974 copyright by Drake Publishers of New York. It measures about 8 13/16” by 9 ¾” by 5/8” thick and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The inner pages are generally crisp and clean and in the spine is tight. There is a little edge and corner wear to the cover.
The book is accompanied by the original box of paper patterns. There are seven large sheets of paper; four deal with the knitting and crocheting of cardigans and jackets for both men and women and the other three are embroidery patterns. The patterns appear to be unused. The come in their original box which measures about 8 7/8” by 9 7/8” by 1” and is in very good condition with minimal wear.
This does not have the original slip cover that housed the two pieces.
