This vintage jewelry box was used as a gift box for a stickpin or bar pin. The box is covered with a small basket weave textured off white paper with a gold detail around the outer edge. The removable lid is slightly domed. Inside the box is the original pad of cotton batt onto which the jewelry piece could be placed. The advertising on the fabric liner in the lid reads; Dan Levin Jeweler San Jose, Calif. The bottom of the cardboard box is embossed; Germany. I believe this is from the 1920’s.
It measures about 3 ½” by 1 1/6” by 7/8” high and is in good condition with minimal edge and corner wear and soiling. The cotton is yellowed from age.
