This old travel map of Utah was issued by the Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1940. The front pictures a king, like Old King Cole, looking over a road with an old car touring down the highway. The three sections of the outer map have a quaint street scene with the orange Phillips 66 sign in the center. The three inside sections have a list and description of interesting places to visit in Utah. Unfold once an Official Road Map of the United States and a smaller map and information boasting the one credit card that was good from coast to coast and accepted by seventeen different companies. Unfold one more time for the 1940 Official Road Map of Utah. This was copyrighted by The H.M. Gousha Co. of Chicago.
Opened fully it measures about 18” by 23 7/8” and in its closed state it measures about 4” by 9”. It is in good condition with minor edge wear and small tears at the corner fold lines.
