This cute little doll is made of hard plastic and was made by the Duchess Doll Corporation. She’s dressed in her original black gown enhanced with silver and gold and trimmed with white lace. The bodice is sheer white and a black ribbon acts as a wide belt and as a tie. The collar is white vinyl. Her black felt hat is enhanced with a red feather and tied to her wrist is a small white felt handbag. She has her original, crude panties and a “crinoline” like half-slip which is stapled to her. She has wavy blonde hair, gray sleep eyes and a sweet little mouth. She is stiff legged with painted shoes but her head and arms are jointed. I am unable to see any information that might be on her back because of the dress. She comes in her original cardboard box that identifies her as #723 Gibson Girl 7 ½”. The box has its inner liner and cellophane window. I believe she is from the late 1940’ -1950’s.
She measures about 7 ½” to the top of her hat and is in very good condition with minimally mussed hair and crisp, unsoiled clothes. The box measures about 10 7/8” by 11 7/8” by 2 1/8” and is in good condition with minimal edge wear and small tears at the perforated side corners. The cellophane is intact and the inner liner is in good condition.
