This old shoe horn is plated tin with an embossed logo for Karl’s Kustom Made Shoes. The logo shows a cobbler, apparently lacing a shoe. The bottom portion reads; Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Office. It appears the patent was filed in the late 1920’s. Items like free shoehorns use to be commonplace when purchasing of a good pair of shoes and this one is nice with more than just a name.
It measures almost 3 ½” in length to the break for the curve or about 4 ½” in overall length and about 1 5/8” at the widest point. It is in good original condition with minimal wear. The logo isn’t as sharp on the left side which may be from wear or from poor manufacturing. There is a little lost plating and discoloration, mostly on the back.
