This beautiful platter is the #1519 Waverly pattern with one of Heisey’s most beautiful and popular etched designs #507 Orchid which was produced by the Heisey company from 1940 through 1957. This was called their 14” Party Plate although it could also be used as an elegant cake plate. The etching is quite beautiful with the orchid panels alternating with bow and delicate floral spray panels. The edge of the plate has a slightly free-form undulating design with occasional a graduated bead detail. It must have had a paper label as it does not have the Diamond H trademark of A.H. Heisey & Co. of Newark, Ohio in the center.
It measures about 13 ¾” diameter and it is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
