This old celluloid backed mirror is advertising The Matchless Cunningham piano. A beautiful grand piano is depicted in the center of the oval mirror and at the bottom is the address of the Philadelphia company. There is no maker of the mirror along the edge as is often found. The flat mirror is held in by a steel bezel. The Cunningham company began business in the late 1800’s and I assume this mirror is from the very early 1900’s.
It measures about 2 ¾” by 1 ¾” and it is in nice condition with minor condition issues. The colors are good and the celluloid is in fairly good condition with minimal scratch wear. There are a few small bumps from under the surface of the celluloid which can be seen in angled light. I tried to get it to photograph but without any luck. There are some stains along the edges which I have shown in the photos. The mirror is not broken or cracked but it has some small dark speckles.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
