This old glass is from the 1984 Kentucky Derby and it features two horses at full stride running as though coming straight out of the glass. The glass is clear at the top and bottom with a frosted panel around the center. On the back it reads; Churchill Downs and it has a listing of all of the winners from 1875 through 1983 with indicators for Triple Crown winners and Fillies and a question mark for the 1984 winner. Near the bottom it reads; Official Harry M Stevens Inc. with a 1984 copyright. The souvenir glass could have been used to serve the traditional mint julep.
It measures 5 1/4” high and 2 3/4” in diameter at the top tapering slightly to 2 ¼” at the base. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no chips or cracks.
