This small old carton was used to hold one pint of Gold Spot Ice Cream. The carton is very lightly waxed and has a drawing of a bowl of ice cream on the opposing sides. Several places on the carton are stamped with the flavor which was Buttered Pecan. It was manufactured by Gold Spot Dairy of Enid Oklahoma, a dairy that apparently opened in the late 1930’s or 1940’s. The box was apparently never filled. It has a sealed flap that could be tucked into the box to reclose and that has never been opened. The “paraffined” carton was made by the Chicago Carton Company. I believe this is from the 1950’s or 1960’s.
It is in very nice, seemingly unused, condition with minimal wear. It measures about 3 7/8” by 3 1/8”" by 2 3/8” but it will be shipped flat.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
