Vintage Schrade Knife - Old Timer Model 156OT known as Little Finger
This vintage fixed blade knife was made by the Schrade company in the late 1970’s and was known as the Little Finger or Lil’ Finger. It has a full tang, drop point, carbon steel blade and was used for hunting, fishing and many general uses. I believe the handle is considered brown, saw-cut Delrin which is a thermoplastic made by DuPont. The slabs are white with reddish brown exteriors that are grooved or scaled. The slabs are pinned through and between the pins, on one side, is the metal plaque that reads; Old Timer. The blade is marked Schrade USA 156OT. This is an old knife, not a new one from China. This comes with the old leather, belt loop sheath.
The overall length is about 6 5/8” and the blade portion measures about 2 ¾”. The knife is in good, used condition. The blade has been sharpened and retains a good edge. It has minor scratch wear on the blade and handle. There are some small, superficial cracks on the handle which I have tried to show in the photos.
The sheath measures about 7 ½” in length. It is made of a thick piece of leather which is stitched about ¾ of the way around with a small rivet at the top edge. The belt loop is folded over and securely stitched. It is in good condition with nice patina and minor usage wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
