This old trivet was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma in commemoration of Bacone College’s centennial. In the center of the front there are two Indians, in full headdress, facing outward. Between them is a torch and within the inner circle it reads; A Significant History - 1880-1980. The outer circle reads; Bacone College - Muskogee, Oklahoma. I believe this is their Prairie Green glaze over the red Sapulpa clay. The bottom has small raised feet and the round ones have felt on them. There is a hole through the top foot so this have a string or cord and then hung as a wall accent. The Frankoma name is made into the mold.
It measures about 6 3/8” in diameter and is in very good condition with no damage and showing almost no wear.
