This old ring is a smaller size that could be for a young girl, a petite person or worn as a pinky. The mounting is gold color but is not marked and is assumed to be rolled gold or gold filled. There are two oval cabochon stones that I believe are milky opals. They have a pretty pale blue tint to them and pick up a just a glint of fire when rotated in the light. The stones are set in high prong cups. Although it is not gold it is a pretty little ring.
It measures between a 5 and a 5 1/2 according to my ring mandrel and the stones each measure about ¼” long by 1/8” wide. The ring is in very nice condition with minor wear. Under magnification there is some base metal showing through. There is also a little dark line on the band where this may have been sized at some time.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
