These old postcards are from a series of military humor. They both have a linen texture, and are about the perils of Navy life.
On one, the character dressed in Navy blues is trying to write a letter. He has a mountain of potatoes to peel for the mess hall and an unhappy cook in rare form. At the bottom it reads; NV-312 with a MWM copyright. In the corner is; H.H.Hutson, USNR.
The other features a sailor swabbing the deck, much to the dissatisfaction of the Admiral who is slipping on a bar of soap in classic comic style. At the bottom it reads; NV-320 H.H.Hutson, USNR with a MWM copyright.
No stamp, postmark or correspondence on the back of either. They measure about 3 1/2” by 5 1/2” and are very good condition with minimal edge wear.
Priced and sold as the pair (2).
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
