This old figurine of a black woman with large, side glancing eyes, is a porcelain bell. She is wearing a pink dress and bandana and a white pinafore apron. The apron is trimmed with green that matches the polka dots on her bandana. She has a large bowl and spoon in her hands and on the front of her apron is a sticker that reads; New Orleans. Attached to a fine wire that goes through a hole at her neck is a small porcelain clapper. The back of the bell has an original paper label with a 1977 copyright by Lagniappe.
She measures about 4 ¾” tall and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
