This nice packet of old sewing needles is also an advertising piece for the F.W. Woolworth Co. Both sides of the packet show the skyscraper that served as the headquarters for the five-and-dime business which was apparently the tallest building in the world from 1913 to 1930. The 79 needle package originally sold for 10c and along the bottom edge it reads; Made in Western Germany. Inside are colorful foil pieces which hold the needles. Across the top it reads; 79 Assorted Needles - Made of Best Steel - Protected Against Rust. This was a Dosco Product and I believe this is from the 1950’s.
The closed book measures about 6 ½” by 4” and it is in very nice condition. There is residue from a price sticker on one side which I have shown in the photos and a few of the foil pieces are creased. It seems to have all but four of the original needles.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
