This colorful plate is an old souvenir from the short lived Japanese Village and Deer Park of Buena Park, California. The scene represents the peaceful tranquility of the park which had deer roaming free among the Japanese inspired buildings and landscape. This plate also incorporates some of the birds, swans and fancy doves. The edge has an open design and is decorated with bright blue and gold accents. On the back is a paper label that reads; A Quality Product Japan. It has holes in the rim on the back that has a plastic cord so the plate can be hung on the wall. The park was only open from 1967 to 1975 which is when this plate would date from.
It measures 8 3/8” in diameter and is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
