This is an old wooden file box that appears to be made of oak with an acrylic lid that has a slot for protecting a recipe card while you’re using it. The plastic lid is pinned at the back edge as a hinge. A card fits snuggly between the top and bottom piece of plastic which keeps the card in place and keeps it clean while you cook. Inside the box are a set of old alphabet tabbed dividers and 15 unique recipe cards. The cards stripped red with a banner across the top that has black scotty dogs with red bows. The back side of the card allows for extra recipe information. The cards have a copyright from Small World Greetings. This takes standard 3” x 5” index cards so it is perfect for recipes or even website organization. I believe this is from the 1970’s.
It measures about 5 7/8” wide by 4 ¼” deep by 4 3/8” high at the back and is in very nice original condition with minimal wear. There is a small chip off the back corner. The dividers have minor crease wear and the last tab which would be XYZ is missing. The recipe cards generally clean and unused.
