This old shoe horn appears to be plated tin with embossed advertising for The Florsheim Shoe. The banner above the shield logo reads; For the Man Who Cares. Small tokens of appreciation like free shoehorns such as this use to be commonplace when making the purchase of a pair of fine shoes. At the top near the bend in the metal it is stamped Sommers. There is also a patent date of either 1913 or 1918.
It measures about 3 ½” in length to the break for the curve or about 4 3/8” in overall length and about 1 ½” at the widest point. It is in good original condition with minimal wear and discoloration.
